|
|
The most important thing you gat of using a complete set of items is the Elite Hunter enhancement. Sets can also give bonuses on attack, damage and other stats; Piercing strike, Reinforced armor and enhancements.I am not making complete list of all sets here, I just tell what to look when you are getting a new set.
- How long can you use that set? You can chack fallenguide what kind of monsters you will be fighting and see if the set + other gear gives enough attack, damage and armor to surely kill those beasts.
- Avoid those 9 part sets. You cannot change a single item of them without losing all set bonuses. With small sets you get a lot flexibility, you can change non-set items depending what king of monsters you're attacking.
- Make sure that the weapon of set you're choosing is good enough for a while, of course, if there is a weapon it that set. Usually weapon is the first item in the set which must be changed for better one.
- Every set has its limits which can be extended by crafting or hellforging, but mostly you can find it a lot cheaper simply changing the set. That may be difficult with those large 9-part sets if you haven't a lot of backpack/auction slots.
I put here some examples of the very first sets of the game:
Frostbite set lvl 4
- This set won't give very high stats but leaves a lot space for other equipment. A good set which can be used at lvl 4-20 with ease.
Infernus set lvl 5:
- A good set which gives little more than frostbite set. This set can be used as far as lvl 20+
Blue Spine lvl 5
- A Crystalline set. Cannot be repaired. Not recommended for hunting. Suits best to PvP arena.
Raggghzas set lvl 10:
- A first legendary set. can be used for very long time, lvl 30+
- A very good but also expensive set.
Nomad set lvl 12:
- The first set which has a weapon. The set is good enough for going lvl 19 giggles set.
Defender of eribor set lvl 13:
- The first 9-part set. What can be said about that... You can go lvl 13-19 with it, then you're in trouble with all those items you need to change...
Reborn Frost Dragon set lvl 15:
- Another 9-part set. Improved version for the old Frost dragon set. A good set, but you need to have all 9 parts to get set bonuses like Elite Hunter enhancement. An absolute maximum you can go with this seems to be lvl 52 when all items fully forged.
Giggles set lvl 19
- A very small set containing only armor and hat. An easy way to have an Elite Hunter Enhancement and not taking too much room. It is possible to go as far as lvl 38 with uncrafted giggles but it is highly recommended to get crafted one.
Plague set lvl 20
- A very good but also very expensive set. This set costs about 110 FSP, If you don't want to change sets you can craft and hellforge this to max and go lvl 80 with it. I find no reason to do that, but it is possible if you have a LOT of FSPs.
Blood Demon set lvl 22
- Another set with a poor weapon, I recommend to skip this one, Boots are ok.
Reborn Guardian set lvl 25
- Ok set, I don't know how long...
Cobweb Sickle/Pumpkin Helm set lvl 25
- Good but very expensive set. Gives good boost to Fury Caster enhancement. Gives lot of damage.
Exquisite Elven set lvl 26
- A good set when combined with right items. It is possible to kill some elites solo when using this set and some attack/defense gear: Telovien lvl 26, Nightshade Lord lvl 28, Corrupt elf lvl 30, Tree golem lvl 35, Burning Hellion lvl 24, Mortek the Bright lvl 37
Nightshade set lvl 28
- Just skip this one, you don't need any item of this set.
Girath set lvl 30
- A very good set which can be used as far as lvl 80, unforged.
Majestic elven lvl 30
- I have no experience of this set.
Burning lvl 34
- Just another 9-part set. Not very good one, but some parts of it (sword and amulet) can be used as components to lvl 100 epic shield.
Gnarled lvl 35
- Again, 9 part set. And poor one. It gives you lots of defense and that's all. You need more attack and damage than this set can give you. Just skip thi one.
Fire Dragon lvl 35
- Another 9 part legendary set. more expensive than it's worth of. And if you want to use this for long you need to forge it. Weak against Zhann set in PvP.
Zhann lvl 38
- A good set with good damage and defense. Useful until lvl 60.
Carnage lvl 41
- Just another 9 part set. won't give you enough attack vs. lvl 48-54 Aquatic Horrors. I bought this set at lvl 41, tried it for 5 minutes... It took several weeks to sell it... I found Zhann much better.
Rooted lvl 44
- A small set containing only boots and armor. Nothing special. Gives you Elite Hunter enhancement, you can get anything else from other equipment.
Flamed lvl 45
- Another small ok set with no great bonuses.
Kragh lvl 45
- Good set with good damage, some attack and defense.
Thunder lvl 48
- A set with high attack but its damage is too low. Invidual items are useful at lvl 48-54 when you need lots of attack.
Sunfire Lvl 50
- Where do they get this set? Well, you can go without it...
Reborn Cerberus, Lesser Santork/Reindeer lvl 50
- Good but expensive legendary sets
Golden Cockatrice lvl 50
- First Super elite set. Like all SE sets, invidual items are useless but complete set has a great power... I've seen people using this set at lvl 130...
At this level you should have learned the basics of the game so I'm not gonna list every set in the game here...
I want to encourage people to use alternate sets. You'll get more from game when just not copying the sets of other players. Most sets are useful for some time. The most expensive set is not necessarily the best one.

This is an equipment guide for levels 10 to 30. I`ll try to keep it as simple as possible but if you want details on how different attributes work, Please refer to my other threads around here.
Basic stuff:
1. Having a full set is extremely helpful at all levels - the Elite hunter bonus is 20% and means you will get the same exp from 5 creatures as you would have got from
6 without it. Priceless. However there are very few actually good sets at low levels - most are a waste of time and stamina. Sometimes, when adding an item will make you kill faster it makes sense to break a set. Just be sure to understand the implications.
2. Always put your level points in attack and damage - for each point in attack put two or three in damage - this will help you short term and long term.
3. When you attack a monster:
- your attack has to beat his defence otherwise you will miss.
- your damage has to beat the sum of his Armor and HP (your damage has to be as high as possible)
- Assuming he gets to hit you, your armor has to be higher then his damage - this way he will only do 1 damage and you will survive to finish him.
- Defence is to be ignored - you can have it at 1 and its ok.
Therefore you should focus mostly on getting your attack and damage as high as possible.
Sets: the best options for sets (legendaries excluded) at lower levels are Infernus(or Frostbite) followed by Giggles at 19 and by Girath at 30. All other sets can't do better for experience gaining and leveling. You will use sets mostly for the Elite hunter bonus so sets with fewer items are the best. And BTW, Eribor sucks big time smiley
So - at level 10 your best setup should be:
Infernus set
Large axe
Crest Shield
Ruby ring
Vespine amulet
Striking rune (or Spearing depending on what you can afford)
in my spreadsheed this amounts to
Att 44
Dam 47
Armor32
Def 39
HP 26
At this level you should be in Elya plains South killing Shamblers, Rock and Sand Golems. Your attack is rather low so you'll miss a few - however you should kill them in one or two good hits)
An alternate setup uses the Frostbite set in order to take advantage of the beautiful Assassin Hood
Frostbite set
Infernus gloves
Infernus boots
Assassins hood
Large axe
Ruby ring
Striking rune (spearing as option)
for a total of
Att 43
Dam 51
Armor29
Def 28
HP 27
Level 11
The only equipment change here is a Frost Falchion as a Weapon - if you cant afford it dont bother.
Stay away from the dyed gloves - their durability of only one point will cause you too much trouble.
Level 12 - Scythe Axe as weapon. Nothing else is worth it. The nomad set is not good in the long run.
Level 13 - the famous Eribor....ignore most of it. The boots are decent (if you are using Frostbite set). Get the scything Spear if possible.
Level 14 - No change - maybe round shield.
Level 15 - Major upgrades. Blade of Karog and dwarf quartz ring are a must. You will use them for a while. Purple death is nice but it means giving up the Elite hunter bonus - dont do it if you can kill fast enough without it. Plate boots too.
Level 16 - Lizardcale gloves, Amulet of Ember
Level 17 - Malicious rune
Level 18 - Knight`s helm, aqua shield
Level 19 - Giggles Set (helm + armor), Lizardscale boots, rune of destruction (a must).
Level 20 - Executioner's grip, Gothic shield
Level 21 -
Level 22 - Blood Demon Boots if you miss too often.
Level 23 - Primal Rune
Level 24 - Glowing gloves, Freezing death (optional)
Level 25 -
Level 26 -
Level 27 - Chained Wrapped knuckles, Bastard Sword,
Level 28 -
Level 29 - Stompers.
Level 30 - Girath set (weapon/gloves/shield) |

No. Use all level up points on Damage only. Otherwise you need to reset those points at last at lvl 140. That will cost 50 FSP. Items can give you anything else enough. Just put them on damage. |
